Ripple Runner Deluxe is a rhythmic platformer released on May 19, 2014 by DDRKirby(ISQ). It was featured on Pixel Love on June 23, 2014. The player controls a runner that has to make it to the end of the stage by jumping and "rippling" while moving on platforms.
The game was originally a Ludum Dare 29 entry, which placed second overall in the Competition portion of the jam[2].
In November 2019, Ripple Runner Deluxe was removed from Pixel Love Games after the developer revealed that the site did not have permission to host the game.[3]
Controls[]
Ripple Runner Deluxe has five different controls for the ripple and flip actions. These controls are interchangeable within a level.

Stages[]
There are six stages in Ripple Runner. The player does not have to go through the stages in order, and can select the stage they want to play directly on the titlescreen.
Throughout each stage, the runner will be on screen with its reflection directly below it. The player uses the keyboard to switch between runners, which is necessary when a platform is not available for the runner or its reflection.
When the player completes a stage without any mistakes, a medal will appear next to the stage's option on the menu.

| 1 | "Ripple Runner" | The stage starts off with mostly small gap jumps that the player must press to certain beats within the track. In the later half, rippling is introduced. Either the top or the bottom part of the platform will disappear, and the player has to ensure the runner is on the side with the platform. | |
| 2 | "Runner Meets Ripple" | This stage introduces the tactic of jumping while switching in midair to reach broken gaps in platforms that are on the opposite side of where the runner is currently positioned. At one checkpoint, the runner's jumps are a longer distance than usual, allowing the player to cross wider gaps in the platforms. | |
| 3 | "Set Me Free" | This stage introduces the final hazard in the game: spikes. To avoid them, the player must press the key that allows them to flip the runner to go under the platform. | |
| 4 | "Feelin the Groove" | This is the only stage with a swing groove. It is the first in the set of tracks that was added after Ludum Dare. | |
| 5 | "What Lies Beneath" | This stage has the slowest track in the game, at 90 BPM. It features switching between platforms while flipping underneath them to avoid spikes. | |
| 6 | "Take It to the Limit" | This is the fastest track in the game, at 160 BPM. It features many tight jumps and quick flips. |
Interactive objects[]
- Platforms - Flat surfaces that the runner and its reflection run on.
- Checkpoints - When passed, the player is respawned at the last one touched upon dying.
Hazards[]
- Spikes - Cause the player to restart at the last checkpoint touched immediately after contact.
Jukebox[]
Ripple Runner Deluxe features a Jukebox, which can be selected from the stage select screen. The names of all the tracks used in the game appear on screen, and choosing one allows the track to be played. The stage the music was used in is also displayed. A description about the track is also shown below all the options.
