Give Up, Robot is a platformer by Maddy Thorson and released on Newgrounds on August 12, 2010. It was featured on Pixel Love the Monday of April 8, 2013. The player controls a robot who plays in a psychedelic setting to reach the goal at the end of each level with a grappling hook.

Controls[]

Give Up, Robot has keyboard-based controls.

  • Left.png Right.png Left and right arrow keys - Move the robot
  • S_key.png or X_key.png - Jump
  • A_key.png or Z_key.png - Fire grappling hook.

Levels[]

Give Up, Robot has fifty normal levels. In each level, the player's goal is to have the robot reach the far right of each level, designated by two vertical lines running down the edge. After passing ten levels, a screen comes up documenting the player's time and score playing the level. Players then have an option of continuing the game or viewing a list of more games.

After the player completes the normal levels and unlocks the ending, they also unlock the hard level pack. There are eleven hard levels. A scoring screen will come up after level five of the hard levels.
