Controls[]
- Left and right arrow keys - Move in respective direction
- Up arrow key - Jump
- A key - Throw pillow
- D key - Attack
- W key - Charge attack
Gameplay[]
The game is set in a bedroom where pillows are being spawned from the bed. The player's character must use these pillows to land hits on the other player. When a player has successfully filled the metre with their colour, they must make it to their side of the room to win the match. Hits from the opponent take away one circle from the points counter at the top of the screen. When empty and the opponent lands another hit, the hit counter begins to fill with the colour of the opponent.
Bed Hogg can be played against a CPU or another local opponent using a gamepad.
Upon making it to their side of the screen, a victory message appears, displaying which player won. Additional statistics show the total time of the match, number of pillows destroyed and how many knockouts each player has sustained.
Interactive objects[]
Pillows[]
Pillows are the main interactive object in Bed Hogg. Two usually respawn from the bed when a pillow is destroyed. When pillows are destroyed, they turn into fluff that covers a portion of the floor.
A pillow can be thrown from to land a hit on the opponent as a far range attack. At close range, the player can also use the A key to make closer hits. When a player is hit, they are temporarily knocked out and the other player cannot land hits on them until they recover.
